WHEN DOES SMT REHEARSE?
Shire Music Theatre rehearses on Monday and Thursday nights from 7:30PM - 10:30PM, Sunday rehearsals are scheduled by discretion of the production team.
WHERE DOES SMT REHEARSE?
Weeknight rehearsals are held at Miranda Youth Centre, or noted elsewhere on the rehearsal schedule.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Shire Music Theatre are always on the lookout for volunteers to help us out be it with set construction, costume making, FOH duties or stage-hands. If you are skilled in any of these areas or would like to have a try at any of these areas, please send an email to [email protected]
HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT AUDITIONS?
There are 2 ways that one can find out about auditions. 1/. SUBSCRIBE to our mailing list. Each time auditions are available, Shire Music Theatre will send out an email to let you know, this is also a great way to find out about what else is happening with SMT and get special ticket offers. 2/. You can like our FACEBOOK page. All audition notices get posted on this page as well as SMT news updates and ticket offers.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
There are a couple of ways that you can become a member. 1/. All persons who are cast in any of our productions are required to become a member upon acceptance of their role. 2/. You can also become a general member by emailing [email protected] to request a membership form.
HOW MUCH ARE FEES?
There are two brackets of fees that an individual may have to pay. General members only have to pay a membership fee where cast members have to pay both a membership AND show fee. The fee schedule is: Membership - $30 Show - $70
WHEN IS MY MEMBERSHIP VALID TO?
All memberships expire at the beginning of the new Financial year (July 1st pa)
WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP COVER?
Membership covers you for liability insurance (important for cast), and by being a financial member you are also able to cast votes at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Special General Meeting/s. We are currently working on a membership scheme, details will be made available in the future.
I AM INTERESTED IN JOINING THE COMMITTEE, HOW DO I JOIN?
The Shire Music Theatre committee are always welcome to new committee members. The first way to join the committee is by being nominated at our AGM, this is the official way of joining by being voted in by other members. I HAVE A SHOW THAT I WANT TO DIRECT/MUSICALLY DIRECT/CHOREOGRAPH WITH SMT, HOW CAN I SUBMIT MY SHOW?

- The best way to book tickets to our shows is to click on the tab 'Buy Tickets' at the top of the site. This tab will take you to our ticket booking site in which you can book your tickets and pay for them online.
- Tickets will be available at the door unless sold out prior, the Box Office will open 30 minutes before the commencement of each performance.
